 Description:The dinner and ceremony of the 26th Investiture of the Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino will take place on Tuesday 10 March 2008 at London’s prestigious Dorchester hotel.
The Order, founded in 1984, was created as an instrument to promote and develop Spanish wines, recognizing those people every year that have distinguished themselves in an exceptional way in the promotion of quality Spanish wines in the United Kingdom. Each year, members of the Gran Orden propose six new candidates and the election to choose two new “Caballeros” is made by secret ballot. The names of the latest members are revealed and the new “Caballeros” are invested on the night of 10 March 2009.
Some 340 people are expected to attend, including importers, journalists, distributors, representatives from specialist stores and wine producers from Spain and the UK.
Tables for dinner and the ceremony can only be reserved by importers of Spanish wines in the United Kingdom.
