MGA gaming group looks to branch out to South America

MGA, a leading company in the Spanish gaming sector, is starting to set its sights on Latin America, specifically Mexico, Panama and Colombia.


Enric Sanahuja, the company’s vice president, told the Spanish newspaper Expansión that the firm is studying these markets to decide whether to open electronic casinos there, although it is still being extremely cautious in assessing the real possibilities of setting up specific projects.


The firm also wants to boost its presence in Italy, the only foreign country in which it currently operates. Good business performance in this country brought MGA revenue of close to €88.5 million last year, which was an increase of 3.6% over 2010.
