The Spanish swimming pool manufacturer Fluida, based in Sabadell (Barcelona), has decided to exercise the purchase option it held for 20% of the French company Pacific, which specializes in water treatment. Pacific manufactures and distributes salt electrolysis equipment, one of the Fluida’s expanding business areas according to El Economista. Fluida acquired 80% of the French company in 2007, shortly after it was listed on the stock exchange.
At the time, the Spanish company considered the possibility of acquiring the whole of the French company that was owned by minority shareholders. The final tranche was acquired on 5 August. The acquisition of the French company cost Fluida a total of €8.0 million. Pacific is based in the French town of Boulazac and has sales of approximately €5.0 million.
