The company Argos Cargo System will on 1 October be launching a new system for contracting transport services, both domestically and abroad, in five countries – Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy. The system will operate via a web platform, which aims to revolutionize the market. However, Argos Cargo bosses have designed an ambitious expansion plan that should see the service become available all over Europe, including Russia, by March 2011, and also to have a presence in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China by the end of the same year, according to Diariodelpuerto.com.
This tool, which is a “transport and logistics marketplace”, has taken five years to develop and has involved an investment in excess of €1 million, will enable companies to improve their results, help haulage firms to find cargo and cargo companies to find transport suppliers. To start with, this system will only offer a land-based transport system, from vans to special transport solutions, including all kinds of vehicles and cargo, both full and partial. In January, however, the company will include air, sea and rail transport, as well as storage and distribution. This system is automatically translated into any language, meaning users can use their native languages and also carry out their business online.
