Indra has been awarded two contracts to modernize the management of the central bank of Bangladesh, worth a total of €7 million, according to a statement by the Spanish IT multinational.
The projects involve the implementation of two corporate systems. The first is an ERP system for resource management, and the second is a data warehouse to automate and improve the bank’s operations processes. Indra is expanding its presence in Asian markets, where it is also carrying out projects in India, China and the Philippines.
These new projects, which are financed by the World Bank, form part of the modernization process of the technology systems at the central bank of Bangladesh, as part of the Central Bank Strengthening Project, which aims to develop a more efficient financial system in the country.
The project is in addition to other similar tasks carried out for the Bank of Spain and the central bank of the Philippines, and will lay the foundations for new opportunities at other financial institutions in the region.
