With a view to promoting the implementation of Spanish brands abroad, the Spanish Company for Development Financing (Cofides) may finance, in some cases, up to 70% of the total assets subject to financing as the circulating assets required for the long-term security of the commercial structures in the destination country for the investment.
In a press release, the public entity announced that this measure will contribute to reinforcing the globalization process for Spanish brands and improve the country’s image, which has become a factor in competitiveness that has become a key instrument for the internationalization of the Spanish economy.
This initiative intensifies collaboration between Cofides and the Spanish Renowned Brands Forum. In 2006, this collaboration led to the launch of the Finbrand line of credit. With this line, Cofides provides medium- and long-term financing to Spanish companies that own a relevant brand for their expansion project abroad, favoring their internationalization processes.
