Spain’s Prince Felipe has overseen the ceremony to unveil the new headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in New Delhi, India, a center designed to meet growing demand from Indian students, who see Spanish as “an ideal channel for opening up new opportunities” in the world, and especially in Latin America, the Prince said in his speech, which was reported by Efe.
This is the Institute’s first center in India, and is located in the heart of the capital. The building covers 3,900 square meters distributed over four floors and has 18 classrooms – one of which is a multi-media room – and a lecture hall which can seat 150 people, as well as two exhibition rooms, a public events room that can seat 40, a conference room and a library.
