Telefónica has signed an agreement with Conectel-Kodiak to develop a “push and talk” instant calling solution in Latin America – a kind of walkie talkie, which has the plus point of working well on mobile networks, according to the Spanish information technology multinational.
This solution is already being used by certain groups in Spain, such as haulage contractors, but is not yet available to residential clients, although it is already present in Ecuador, Peru, and now in Mexico. It is expected to spread to all the other countries in Latin America where Telefónica operates.
