AMEC, the multi-sector business association that represents 10 Spanish industrial manufacturing and exporting sectors, has given Custo Barcelona the “Best Brand of Spain 2009” award for contributing to the projection of a positive image of the country internationally.
With this award, AMEC recognizes the performance of Custo Barcelona, as well as its foreign view and the international commitment that characterizes this famous fashion company.
Designer and company founder Custo Dalmau received the award along with chef Ferran Adrià, who received the “Best Person” award. Jamón Joselito won the “Best Product” award, while communications company Abertis received “Best Service” recognition.
Custo has 43 shops around the world. Its primary markets are the United States, Italy, France and Germany, in addition to Spain.
