A store in Barcelona belonging to the fashion firm Massimo Dutti has been assigned “A” category energy certification, the maximum level awarded the Ministry of Industry, and is the first Spanish commercial establishment to be given such a high grade.
According to a press release from the Inditex group, the environmentally efficient measures implemented in this store mean it can save more than 30% in energy consumption, which translates into a reduction in CO2 emissions of 36 metric tons per year.
This initiative is part of the “Environmentally Efficient Store” project of the group’s Environmental Strategic Plan, which also involves other pilot projects being carried out.
