Spanish group Mersa will be responsible for the electrification of the new Convention Center that is under construction in Oran, in the northwest of Algeria, according to a press release from the company.
The Oran Convention Center includes the Exposition Hall, Convention Center, a five-star hotel, underground parking and exterior lighting of the adjacent area that is subject to construction, with a total investment in its development of €400 million. It is to be completed within a maximum of 24 months.
Mersa’s investment will reach €20 million, which includes the medium- and low-voltage installations in the new spaces, both interior and exterior. Works are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2010.
