Adif, the company that manages railway infrastructures in Spain, and the Mexican firm Constructora de Sistemas Ferroviarios, have signed an advisory, consultancy and technical support contract for the management of railway traffic on the suburban railways on the Cuautitlán-Buenavista route in the metropolitan area of Valle de Mexico (Mexico).
Through the contract, which has a budget of €945,000, Adif will provide its experience and the qualified personnel required to achieve full functionality, operations and the correct functioning of the suburban railway system, according to a press release from the Spanish company.
The suburban railway of the metropolitan area of Valle de Mexico is 25.7 kilometers long and is used for passenger traffic between the stations of Buenavista and Cuautitlán, with a total of seven stations and a passenger volume of more than 300,000 users per day since its launch in June 2008.
