The Spanish firm Bimba & Lola has chosen Singapore to open the 100th store in its distribution network, which already includes seven countries, according to the fashion company.
The opening in Singapore represents one more step in the company’s international expansion program, which began in 2007. For the owners, María and Uxía Domínguez, textiles are in their blood. They are nieces of the designer Adolfo Domínguez, whose company is listed on the stock exchange, and their father is Jesús Domínguez, co-founder of the STL group, which owns the Carolina Herrera and Purificación García stores.
Spain is currently the leading market for the company, where it has 81 outlets. It is followed by Portugal, with six stores, France (2), Malaysia (3), Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The company is currently preparing to enter Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama.
