The Consultative Council of Iberdrola’s British subsidiary Scottish Power has been convened in Glasgow, Scotland, to analyze the economic situation and the outlook for 2009 in the United Kingdom.
This was the third meeting since the creation of this advisory body in April 2007, and it was attended by Iberdrola Chairman Ignacio Sánchez Galán, Scottish Power Vice-Chairman José Luis del Valle and Scottish Power CEO Nick Horler.
This entity is made up of important members of the economic, financial and social communities of Scotland. On this occasion, in addition to reviewing the operating and business results for the past ten months, the members also analyzed the current economic situation in Scotland.
They also covered the company’s participation in the British Government’s CO2 collection and storage program, as well as Iberdrola’s investment program in the country for 2009.
Iberdrola says that the consultative councils have become a very beneficial advisory body for obtaining first-hand information on the situation of the countries in which they operated, reports Spanish news agency Europa Press.
